Manchester United welcome Liverpool to Old Trafford on Sunday looking to a claim a third win in the EPL this season. They have got a good record against the top five teams in the league this season, so Jurgen Klopp’s men will have to be at the top of their game if they intend to continue their perfect start in the Premier League.

United are unbeaten in their last five home games against Liverpool in the league winning three and drawing the rest including a goalless draw last season.

Liverpool have really had it rough when playing away to the ‘Top Six’ opposition, they are winless in 12 away matches at the ‘Top Six’.

United striker Marcus Rashford has been poor in front of goal this season with only 3 goals to his name, but the England international has scored 10 goals against the big sides in the league dating back to his debut season. This a third of his total return on goals since then.

Liverpool will be looking to their dynamic trio of Mohammed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino to wreak havoc on the United defence. Mohammed Salah, in particular, will be in the spotlight on Sunday, the Egyptian has scored against every Premier League team he has faced more than once, except United.

United will be without David De Gea (groin) and Paul Pogba (ankle). Jesse Lingard (hamstring) is still a doubt, but Aaron Wan-Bissaka could be in the squad after returning from illness along with Anthony Martial(thigh).

Liverpool will also be without their No.1 Alisson Becker, though the Brazilian is back in training after returning from a calf injury. Matip has declared himself fit enough to start this weekend’s match after missing the last two with a knock.
